Everything you need to know about EasyGoing
About EasyGoing
EasyGoing helps you organise your wishes for the people who matter to you, so they know what to do when you pass away. You can record your preferences for your farewell, important information and how your belongings should be handled. Everything in one clear overview.
We started as a website so you can use EasyGoing easily on any device. If user feedback shows there is a need for a dedicated app, we will consider this in future development.
No. EasyGoing is not a legal document and does not replace a will or legal advice from a lawyer or notary. Your loved ones cannot derive any legal rights from the information in EasyGoing. It is intended as guidance and has no legal status.
When you sign in with Google, your login details (such as your email address and password) are not stored by us. You also automatically get access to 15 GB of free storage on your own Google Drive. All your information and documents are stored there, and sharing with your Trusted Contacts happens through your Google Drive. If you don't have a Google account yet, you can create one for free via gmail.com.
Documents & storage
You can upload documents such as PDF files, Word documents, Excel files and text files, as well as images (JPG or PNG). This is useful for contracts, wills, insurance policies, photos or other important documents.
All files are stored in the “easygoing” folder on your own Google Drive. In this folder, you will find a clear PDF of your full plan, a ZIP file with your complete package, and the original documents and files you added, organised into folders per section (farewell, accounts, belongings and contacts). A separate file is also created with the password for the secured package. The password is not included in the ZIP file itself, so you can decide who to share it with. You can always view, download or manually share your files from your Google Drive.
Privacy & security
All information is stored on your own Google Drive in the “easygoing” folder. EasyGoing does not store personal data on external servers. You remain in full control of your information, and even we cannot access or retrieve it.
After entering your information, you can go to the Trusted Contacts section and select “Complete”. A pop-up will appear where you choose which contacts receive your package and where you can set a password to protect it. The password is not included in the package, so you can share it separately.
No. Just like when signing in with Google, we do not store any passwords. This also applies to the password you set for your package. The only information we store is your email address, your Google ID and your payment status. This is the minimum required to make your account work.
Using & updating
You can update your wishes as often as you like within your subscription. You can change, add or adjust everything at your own pace. The generated PDF includes a timestamp, so you always know which version is the most recent. Each time you create a new package, you can also set a new password if you wish.
Yes. Because EasyGoing is a web application, you can access your plan anywhere: on desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Simply log in and continue where you left off.
Technical questions

We share updates through the Feedback & Updates section. Important changes and new features are announced there so you always stay informed.
Payments & subscription
We believe it should be simple and affordable to organise your wishes. With the annual subscription, you can keep updating your plan, add documents and benefit from new features.
No. EasyGoing does not renew your subscription automatically. Each year, you decide for yourself whether you want to continue.
